This totally made my day, it works perfectly fine for me and it's good old-Newgrounds style fun, simple, irreverent but still somehow deep. Tenouttaten for me

Btw, you can revive if you happen to touch cheese after hitting a brick, now to get that medal...

Glad you liked it! :)

Shadow Lee, Heroic Dark Mage. I'm on a perilous mission bent to RAPE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE! I mean, Hell yeah. i'm just gonna do it again. George Charmander, Vegan Magician (do i summon carrots? totally.), goin' to write dirty fanfiction 'bout Dr. Robotnik.
This is so simple yet funny, totally fav'd. Hope you're gonna evolve this into somethin' really mindblowing, even though i wouldn't know jacks on what to do, i still hope. Great work so far :D

Yomuchan responds:

Got big plans for version 2.0.

How does selectable text and over a million possible combinations sound?

Now, that's quite an interesting challenge, to flee as long as you can while your opponent constantly speeds up. In a really small place. I'm writing this review 'cos i need an anger-controlling break, i'm currently stuck with Carl due to a couple of features that makes me keep failing, being them Carl's double jump (that ain't occasional, as you state. At least for me, that happens all the times.) combined with the automatic jump command (instead of a blessed drop) you placed when falling from the higher ledge, sadisticly blended with an auto wall jump. Figure that out, he's rushing at me, i get to jump in time to barely slip under him, but carl is fast, i accidentally touch the wall while falling, WALL JUMP! and paf, crud fail is served. Now, I may just suck badly in this particular game, so I won't calculate anger in the star count, I was having fun and as soon as I close the review i'll try a little more, I'd like to find out who's scaring Patrick...
P.S. Smaller complaint, there's no FX mute button. I just hate the sound of fail xD

..With a toothbrush. I mean, You start off really fast with waves from every direction while our puny little lazors are barely useful aganist front enemies (can't decide if that's due to the huge lag i experienced or really small hitboxes), I didn't see powerups of any kind to help keepin' enemies nuber low, so the fun fell down to just dodge them the best i could, until the boss showed up, killing me so quietly with his boomerang-effect laser I didn't even notice i was taking damage, 'till i went kaboom. I checked the menu for quality settings (and resorted to right clicking the low quality, with no evident effects), dimmed lights, looked for further instructions, but I failed in each action, so i just rage-quitted.
Now, after quite some time spent with my pc, I learned not to judge too hard the games when i can't play them due to heavy lag, I know it's not your fault (well... not entirely xD), but putting that aside i couldn't find, let's say, nothing too new or interesting in terms of gaming, just good graphics and stuff...
So, to shut me up: some lag-control settings will help uor rusty pc to run properly, any kind of evolution system (power ups, leveling up, buying, whatever does) would give some crunch to the blasting, and.... i think i'm done.
I feel somewhat sorry for a mere 6, i look forward to give you more on your next submission!

BryceSummer responds:

I appreciate your opinion! I'll see what I can do in the way of quality settings, no guarantees though... I'm not sure if there's much I could add for optimization on slower machines.

Now that's strange

It looks like this happened to me only, but i can't manage to even start level 5 since no one of the characters is able to jump on the ledges right after pulling the starting blue lever, so turtle can fit in the tunnel only to be blocked forever by the green gate... How could this be called a bug? it looks like an error to me, but again nobody else complainted on such an issue, so this must be regarding only my Firefox?
By the way i was liking it (even if I must agree with XGravity, controlling and switching them properly was somehow confusing), so i will rate just like i played it 'till the end..

Natpat responds:

That's really quite strange. It's an issue affecting quite a few people, and I have no idea what's causing it.

Wow

Man, I'd really like to try out that "La Bomba"... Looks tasty! Jokes aside, I didn't encounter any bugs, played smooth 'till the end... Got nearly death when I let the partner practice with the uzi, but after some levels she was unstoppable, so i could get the gatilin' with ease... Maxing its stats made playin' a space cake walk!
I however do agree that we need some way to repair the base, should it be a simple button, or a quick, hard-to-hit magical healing pot bud enemy...

leonardozimbres responds:

He! Im glad you liked. Thanks for the tips.

meh..

Yeah, that would have been lotsa fun if everything was worked right. I never managed to kill the enemy, no matter how long the song i played was. I tried a 7 min on the first run, brought him near death, thought that with more time i could do it, tried a good 16 minutes of shootin', got angry about no laser powerups, ended with even more life than before, punch away the whole desk, then write some thoughts on it. Oh ,and the bomb was kind of useless... i know it wipes bullets away, but even a little damage would have been appreciated for sure. Last thing, i think that different kinds of bullets should be linked to their relative track (guitar, drums, synth, etc), 'cos they kept mixing up even on plain stages of the song, but i guess that would be really complex given the never ending choice among music. In the end, that wasn't that bad

Tzai responds:

Hi Siamorain,
Thanks for playing Shmusicup. The life of the boss is relative to the song, so a longer song will result in a boss with longer life. Not too good if the boss's life goes down after 1 min for a 6 min song :)

A good strategy is to shoot at the core for more damage and get powerups to increase firepower, with practice I'm sure you will be able to complete it!

man!!

As soon as i understood how it works it turned good, really relaxing while entertaining.. i can't think of anything bad, maybe a little, little more control on the particles, but damn, that's good.

SiJaf responds:

Really glad you liked it. It is quite a different approach and it is nice that people like it.

that's just like..

..I've already seen this... but where?.... Now I remember: it was you! this is just some paint over that Gravitor game! i liked that one, but this makes me think about glory for no work, so it's just a 3 for you this time... better luck with the next

LongAnimals responds:

glory? what an idiot.

I remember that..

The plastic wrapping shield! I really miss that Bob&George comic... oh, a great game by the way :D

Arkuni responds:

Oh! But it's still up ^^

I still read it once in a while.
